Welcome ESE Assistant Principal Sheara Ferguson
New to Emerson this year is our Exceptional Student Education HUB. A number of ESE Programs have moved from neighborhood schools to Emerson Elementary-Middle School. We would like to welcome the person responsible for administering this massive endeavor Ms. Sheara McCleskey-Ferguson.
In her current role, she leads special education services, ensuring IEP compliance, supporting teachers and paraprofessionals, and fostering a collaborative school culture that prioritizes
student success.
Ms. McCleskey-Ferguson brings more than 30 years of experience in education as a teacher, instructional leader, and administrator. Her career spans multiple schools and districts, where she
has championed equity in education, developed targeted intervention programs, and implemented effective instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners. Her expertise includes special education program oversight, data-driven decision-making, restorative practices, and building strong partnerships between families, staff, and the community.
